Pat Cross Art Juried into West Virginia Wild Things Exhibit.

Showing March 18 - April 26, 2023, at Tamarack Marketplace.

For those of us who live here, the words “Almost Heaven” typically refer to the heart-warming beauty and irresistible lure of our natural environment. In this exhibit, you’ll witness ample proof of such in the form of paintings, drawings, glass, clay, textiles, wood, metal and more. “I’m convinced that our geography spawns more art here,” claims Pat Cross, “which is why we enjoy a remarkably high population of artists per capital in West Virginia.”

Into this exhibit, the curators selected three oil paintings by Pat Cross, including this one titled, Making a Splash, mounted in a raw-edge custom frame made by Jeff Lewis. “The raw edge of the wood frame complements the rugged wildness of the splashing stream,” says Pat Cross, “and makes for a salient reminder to do the soul some good by getting outside more.”
